Other then the refreshed graphics, new revamped Bajaj Platina 125 has retained its old looks. In place of brushed finish unit in the old model, the new model has a chrome heat shield. The clear lens unit is replaced by amber turn indicators in the new model.

The bike is fitted with 4-stroke, single-cylinder, air cooled displacement with 124.6cc is similar as the older model. Mechanically the changes are in the form of peak power being reduced by 1 BHP to 8.5 BHP at 7000 rpm. The peak torque is also down slightly and is 1.01 kgm produced at 4000rpm in the new revamped Bajaj Platina 125. The biggest revamp has come in the form of replacement of twin spark plug with dts-i architecture to single spark plug. The bike is not fitted with 5-speed gear box with an all down pattern shift.

The front brake size has been reduced from 130mm to 110mm. The new Bajaj Platina 125 comes with 4 color options and with single electric start equipped variant. The prices are reduced by Rs. 2500 to Rs. 36,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).

Bajaj constantly tinker with its biked but it is not clear as to what it wanted to achieve with this new and updated version of Bajaj Platina.
