Super Splendor might not be the latest of 125cc bikes, but it still rules the heart of its riders. It would be foolish not to mention about its next generation Quantum Core Engine. The Super Splendor 125cc bike develops 9 BHP and is nicely optimized for power delivery in the (0-60 kmph) riding zone. Its features like Electric start, trip meter, silencer heat shield, push to cancel switches and pass lights are beyond comparison.
In practical conditions it gives somewhere between 60-70km/ltr of petrol. If you are looking for a speed bike then Super Splendor is not for you. It is more of a commuter bike. It has a smooth gearbox and electric start is nice and responsive. There is no reports for any cold start problems so relax and forget kicking… It is best to call it a trouble free, no nonsense bike which comes at a respectable price.
If you are looking for a good mileage and could compromise marginally on power then this is the bike for you. The Super Splendor’s tubular double cradle chassis is rigid and lends a reasonably flex-free performance for the bike. The bike’s wheelbase at 1,265mm is about 35mm longer than that of the Splendor’s and the Passion Plus’. However, though the riding position and the saddle height seem to be same as in the Splendor, the ground clearance is slightly shorter at 150mm.
The Super Splendor’s engine is laid in the same parallel arrangement as the original and its enhancement comes during the comparatively vibration-free performance. The engine’s low noise, low vibration characteristic is also aided by the roller chain cam drive and by rubber separators for the engine’s fins and the relatively vibration-free ride is achieved despite the absence of bar-end weights.
