Car sales up while tough ride for 2-wheelers

It seems that Indian Auto Industry is having their best time with top major car manufactures cruised to higher sales led by none other then market leader Maruti Udyog. The increase in sales for various car manufactures was as follows:
- Maruti Udyog: 25.5%
- Mahindra & Mahindra: 50%
- General Motors: 43%
Maruti Udyog sold 11,374 units more this June as compared to same time last year. Mahindra and Mahindra had a 50% increase in sales from 11,209 units same month last year to 16,814 units. Newly launched Mahindra Renault Logan was major force behind Mahindra and Mahindra high sales figures. General Motors India 43% sales increase was mainly due to success of its newly launched Chevrolet Spark.
2-wheeler manufacturer’s sales figure took a nose dive with market leader Hero Honda having 8.41 decline. Bajaj Auto slipped by 12 whereas TVS Motor Co sales were very discouraging with a 90% decline in sales.
