Facelift for Skoda Laura and Octavia in 2009

Skoda Octavia is one of the most popular Skoda car in India. It is one of the first diesel powered entry luxury car in India. Though it was very popular car when it was launched, it has to face tough competition from the new launches. Skoda is planning a new and improved Skoda Octavia in end of 2009 in order to appeal to its new buyers. It is going for both cosmetic changes and changes under the hood.
The new and improved 2009 Skoda Octavia is going to come with a choice of 2 new engines, 1.4 litre 3 cylinder diesel similar to the engine used in Skoda Fabia and new 1.4 litre TSI petrol. The TSI petrol motor is going to produce 120 bhp and is going to appeal the buyers more.
The new Skoda Laura is going to get a face lift and will be launched in the mid of 2009. There is going to be lot of cosmetic changes and remarkable changes under the hood.
First the headlights will loose its rectangular form and would wrap well around the nose of the car. The front bumper and grille is also going to be restyled. The new Skoda Laura is going to look softer then its previous version. The interior for the car will also get a boost with a new and prettier dashboard and a four spoked steering wheel. Laura would have either new 1.8 litre TSI producing 160 bhp or 200 bhp TFSI.

Is it conformed that skoda octavia is going for a facelift by end 2009.
As i am going to buy skoda ambient 1.9 tdi this month.
If they are going to update this model than i will wait .
