New Maruti Zen Estilo

After a span of 13 years Maruti have come up with its all new Maruti Zen Estilo a new avatar of its age old Maruti Zen. It is for the first time in the history of Maruti operation that the Indian automobile giant has stopped the production of a model and replacing it with a all new version.

The makeover, well do not expect sky from this new model as reports suggests that the new Maruti Zen Estilo will be similar to Maruti Wagon-R in more then one way. Under the body it has similar wheelbase, track, suspension system and even same 1061cc engine that powers Maruti Wagon-R. The difference will be in the form of new headlamps, interiors and the bumpers both front and rear. Old Zen car entry and exit problems are worked out and seating problems while driving is also solved much like Wagon-R.

Maruti has sold 760,000 units of its Zen model. Maruti has plans to export its new Zen version to south East Asian countries where right hand drive exists. Diesel swift and new versions of Baleno are others where Maruti will be eyeing to gain some ground which is challenged its position of market leader in recent years.

Maruti dumping its age old model proves that Indian Automobile market is hot and even brand like Maruti cannot afford to take buyers for granted. It is other story that we grew under the dominance of Fiat, Ambassador and Maruti with few models without any upgrades for decades
