Tata Indica is soon going to launch Indica EV the electric version of its second generation Indica. Yes, it will not be for its recently launched Indica Vista.
Indica EV is developed by Tata Motors and Miljoebil Grenland - a Norwegian automobile research and development company.
Indica EV would be first launched in Norway in 2009 and will have left hand drive. This is because Norway have enough Infrastructure for electric vehicle. India lack that right now so the car would only come in India by 2010.
Tata Indica electric vehicle is fitted with lithium ion batteries which are going to make the car run for 175-200 km in one full charge. It would take 8 hours to fully charge the batteries.
The mileage of the car will depend on the type of battery used. Emission - Well it runs with zero emission.

We R happy to here this news. Try to make it more powerful. If u make it as a 4 weal drive it will be good I suppose. Any way we R waiting eagerly…Is it suitable for Kerala Road?
