    2007 New Cars lined up for Indian market

    Every state government is fighting hard to ease their traffic jams seriously. Well, launch of 18 new cars will add to their woes but then consumers will smile and get away with their dream machine. In next 12 months Indian roads will see biggest fleet of new cars till date, after all India is shining. 🙂

    Mahindra Renault Logan will be one of the most awaited car of 2007. Mahindra & Mahindra in colabaration with Renault Logan will launch this car somewhere in April. The entry level C-segment notchback car would be pittet against the already famous Maruti Esteem and Tata Indigo and the cheaper variants of Ford Ikon. The category is fiersly competitive and with a price tag of 4.5 – 5 lakhs Mahindra Renault Logan is expected to lighten the fire further.

    General Motor’s Chevrolet Spark is another in the line for hottest cars offerings of 2007. The much awaited Martiz replacement 1.1-litre Chevrolet Spark could be seen on roads by 2007 April. The small car segment car would be pitted against Hyundai Santro and Zen Estilo. Recently launched 1.2-litre Aveo would also be ready for sale in the month of January.

    Hyundai Motors new car “code named Pa” will be the next car in the small car segment fighting for its position between Santo and Getz and primarily would be aimed at Zen Estilo. One litre diesel engine will be next Hyundai hot car giving Maruti a tough fight.

    Diesel version of the 1.3 litre multijet heart Swift will be one of the premium car from Maruti which will be trying to gain some market share from the market leaders of diesal cars – Tata Motors. The car will come with an expected price tag of 6.4 lakhs.

    GM is not behind in cashing on the diesal car loving Indians and would come with its diesal Aveo and Optra.

    Biggie BMW will touch Indian soil with its 3 series, assembled at its factory in Chennai.

    Another hot passenger car would come from Volvo which is ready with its S80 and XC90. Volkswagen will start seeling its imported Passat by mid of 2007.

    Face lifts of Honda Accord, Mahindra Scorpio, Maruti Baleno and Tata Sumo is expected in 2007 too.

    Get ready for your best pick in 2007 as it is not going to be easy to choose the best.
