    adminBy adminMarch 24, 2011No Comments1 Min Read

Honda City cars manufactured between November 2008 and December 2009 has a faulty part called lost motion spring in its valve train. Due to this faulty part Honda Siel Cars India Limited has recalled all of its third generation Honda city cars sold during this period to replace the part completely free of cost.

The “lost motion spring” is going to be replaced with all new and improved part.

The faulty lost motion spring could bend or break with prolonged use due to compression by the rocker arms. This faulty part could further give starting problem and could give very loud engine noises. Owners of the affected cars could contact their dealers or nearest showrooms and get the part replaced. One can check if their car falls in the category on hondacarindia.com.

Honda City right now costs around Rs. 10.2 lakhs and is a very fine car when it comes to fuel efficiency, comfort, style and performance and has a refinement level. The only problem with the car model is that it does not have a diesel option.
