Mahindra Renault Logan – A Brief Review

    adminBy adminAugust 17, 2008Updated:August 17, 20084 Comments2 Mins Read

If I have to say two plus points for Mahindra Renault Logan it would be its ride quality even on bad roads and its exceptional fuel efficiency. Not to forget the wide space it offers inside the cabin. Above all it is one of the cheapest sedan available in India.

Mahindra Renault Logan is powered by 1.5 litre diesel motor that produces 160Nm of torque at 2000rpm and 65PS@4000rpm. The gearbox is sleek, the handling is great and the shifts are smooth.

Trip meter in Logon is a bit luxury offered in cars twice the Logon’s price. The digital display gives odo and trip readings, it also gives real time fuel efficiency and the distance the car would go with the amount of fuel in tank.

The 1.5DLS and 1.6 GLS comes with driver side airbags once again which is absent with the competitions.

This is a car minus frills. Mahindra and Renault have tried and come out well in building a low cost car for Indian Market without compromising on the build quality.

For Logan speed breakers and potholes that are very part of Indian roads does not exists. It just glides over them.

If you are looking for a car that is comfortable, spacious, fuel efficient and does not puts a big hole in your pocket then Mahindra Renault Logan is the car for you. However, if you want to make your neighbor envy with your car or if you aspire to be a race driver then this could be a bad choice.

    Mahindra Renault Logan Prices:

    Logon 1.4 GL
    Mumbai4.41 L
    Delhi4.25 L
    Chennai4.42 L
    Logon 1.5 DCi DLS

I am a proud owner of Logan 1.6 and extremely happy for the past two and half years! It is best in class when the fuel economy, comfort and space are your concern. Remember a car becomes a taxi only when it is widely accepted and suited for all Indian road conditions just don’t go by looks which get change in time…

      Hey Ankit,
i agree with you but if u must know,
Mahinda Renault has launched the new LOGAN PLAY.
The fresh look of the car does attract the buyers, it has the all new sporty look and flashy vinyls does compliment the car.
It has really trendy look and comes with alloy wheels, vinyls and a host of features like USB music system, parking sensor, driver info system, etc.
the car seems easy to maintain and the spare parts are also easy to get, it is a total value for money.
The link would help for sure!!!

well the car is pretty cheap and it’s fuel usage is impressive. I can’t say the same thing about the car’s design thought… it looks really odd and i think it’s hard to handle

This car looks perfect but due to fact that Mahindra Renault Logan is primarily used as cabs, I will not be buying this car. Otherwise this car has best fuel efficiency in its segment and is very nicely priced.
