    The no-nonsense, commuter car is one of the most used taxi in India. Buy this car for its easy ride, value for money, low ride cost and visibility. It is not one of the best looking cars and the build quality might not impress lot of buyers.

    Tata Indica is one of those few cars that deliver performance and yet are so light on your budget. The car which comes in just 4.86 Lakhs is quite a competitor to its counterparts which are not only highly priced but also lack it when it comes to the question of mileage. This extremely efficient machine with high drivability and the name that resonates reliability is a natural choice by many.

    Engine

    The country where the fuel prices rise almost every month and without a warning, Tata Indica comes with a powerful 1396cc engine which works on the humble diesel for fuel. It power comes from diesel engine with a 62bhp MPFI petrol motor that has a 1.2 litre capacity. The sufficiently powerful engine is capable of delivering at the maximum a refined 69bhp with a peak torque of about 140Nm. The car takes about an equivalent of 16.44 seconds from a stationary position to a three digit demonic speed. The machine shows good manoeuvrings skills and a responsive smooth throttle while driving in the city with crowded lanes and heavy traffic on the roads. However, the highways give you a more leisurely feel with the car being in no hurry and miss the breath-taking scenery around. The best thing to count on about this commuter is the fact that it is extremely fuel efficient, with a recorded 13.5kpl in the city while a massive 18.2kpl on the highway. You can thus rely this pal will reduce your costs and transport you wherever you want to be in comfort.

    Exterior

    The exterior is as basic and humble as the need be. This hatchback has borrowed its simple and sweet looks from its brother the Indigo eCS. The optimally built robust machine has a smooth metallic and curvy finish to it that gives it the appearance of a no-nonsense car. The headlights are samurai eye shaped that renders it a subtle attractiveness. Coming in color variants of Sea Blue, Spanish Tan, Jet Silver and Mint White; it has a metallic touch to it. The door handles, mirror etc. are all in the same color as the body of the car making them more soothing to the eye.

    Interior

    The car is tastefully decorated in the colors of black and beige. The seats are cushy and comfortable with headrests. The silver console on the dashboard has all the essential instrumentation for a safe and effective driving. The auto headlamps, dual air conditioning and fog lamps are an added advantage. The steering wheel is of power steering type allowing you to steer the car easily on any given road. There is a facility of a 12v charging port, USB port, an audio system with four inbuilt speakers. Overall the cabin is quite roomy and comfortable for five passengers.

    Safety

    Tata Indica comes with a centralized locking system. All the four windows have a power control. The car has a key less entry, remote control locking and an engine immobilizer to its name.
