    2015 Suzuki GS150R
First model by Suzuki in the competitive 150cc segment of India, GS150R perfectly fits between the premium class and the commuter class in the segment.

The never-before combination of raw power and stunning looks, this new age bike from Suzuki brings to the table a fresh and new look along with six gears and a 150cc four stroke air-cooled engine. Its engine delivers robust acceleration performance to low-mid level range.

Known for its awesome performance and reliability, this bike is fuel efficient and offers a comfortable ride with the advanced gas-charged fitted with hydraulic suspension system. Ideal for riding on city roads, some standard features of Suzuki GS150R include electric start, engine rpm indicator lights, integrated rear turn indicators, LED tail lamp and stylish wheels. Conferred as the ‘Motorcycle of the Year for 2010’; Suzuki GS150R, on the whole, is a good package for young riders for their personal choice.

    Engine

Powered by a 149cc, 4-stroke air-cooled single-cylinder engine, Suzuki GS150R generates a peak power of 13.8bhp at 8500 rpm. The maximum torque production of the bike is 13.4 Nm, accessible at 6000 rpm. Its refined engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox makes it unique and offers better cruising performance on the highway. Suzuki GS150R is the first 150cc bike in India that features a six-speed manual gearbox – one gear down and five gears up-shift pattern. As an ideal bike for city commuters, it offers an excellent 50-55 kmpl mileage.

    Design & Style

This dynamic bike is available in three electric colors including Candy Antares Red, Pearl Mirage White and Glass Sparkle Black. It features revised cowl as well as visor with new graphics which makes bike look aggressive with its headlight. The air-intakes on both side of GS150R’s headlight make it look aerodynamics. The bike has got a wide headlight along with twin pilot lamps that grab your attention.

Inspired by Suzuki’s superbike GSX-R, the stunning, powerful and sporty style headlight of GS150R, gives bike a muscular look. The bike also consists of a streamlined, super sleek LED tail lamp as well as integrated clear lens indicators that takes the style quotient of bike to the next level.

    Acceleration and Performance

The six-speed gearbox of Suzuki GSR150R helps you keep moving quick and fast. Despite having a poor power to weight ratio, it does 0-60km per hour in less than 6 seconds. Thanks to bike’s sixth gear as the bike can cross the speed mark of 120km per hour. Overtaking is way easy with this model on highway; however, you may face difficulty in city traffic. Its refined engine is designed to fulfill the conflicting demands of fuel efficiency and acceleration.

    Ride and Handling

Despite of being a heavy bike, Suzuki GSR150R’s high speed stability is very impressive due to its wheelbase of 1335mm. The gas filled rear suspension of this bike gives rider a comfortable ride and it has very less bumps that manages to bother you. The seating arrangement of the bike is very comfortable and gives the rider a perfect knee grip around the fuel tank.

    Bike’s main Competitors

The Suzuki GS150R competes against the Bajaj Pulsar 150, Honda CB Trigger, Hero Xtreme and the Yamaha FZ-16 in the highly competitive 150cc segment. When it comes to choose between these competitors, almost everything including looks, performance, engine adrenalin, instrumentation and rideability are better in GS150R along with the mileage figures hovering around the same line.

Overall, the 150cc motorcycle Suzuki GS150R is perfect for those who are looking for a powerful machine than regular 100cc and 125cc commuters for their daily commuting demands.

You have mentioned its top speed as 106 kmph. I own one and it hits 115 kmph easily. I think it will hit more than 120 with ease
