    TVS Phoenix

When it comes to looks nothing can beat this bike from TVS Motor Company. It is a commuter motorcycle which is targeted towards people who have to go to office and travel a bit extra every day. Phoenix gives good mileage and is powerful enough in the category.

    Looks
The graphics used in this bike are good and makes it very attractive. Overall it looks very sporty. The fuel tank is very well designed too which adds to its beauty. The tyres have 6 spokes alloys which yet again is unique for Phoenix. Mud guard, lights, fuel tank are all multicolored which looks good too. Engine and exhaust are all colored black.

    Design
Seat is not very high but is upright due to which for long distance commute too, the rider would not have a stiff back. The rear view mirrors could have been slightly bigger for better view. Tachometer is absent but you get digital displays for speedometer, odometer, fuel gauge and tripmeter. The motorcycle has both electric and kick start and is fitted with tubeless tyres. The kerb weight is 116kg and has a great ground clearance of 165mm which could be an added plus if you have to ride on country roads.

    TVS Phoenix Engine

    Engine
The 125cc bike is fitted with air cooled single cylinder engine which is made out of Aluminum. The engine gives out 11PS of power with torque of 10.8NM. At high speeds the bike becomes slightly weave-y at high speed but is very smooth and gives a comfortable ride at low or normal speed. In city ride you might not go at high speeds so this problem might not be an issue. The drivability of the bike is very good and gives out a very good performance.

    Speed & Mileage
TVS Phoenix could go from 0-60kmph within 6.8 seconds which is impressive. It has top speed of 95kmph. The mileage is good and gives an overall average of 62.5kmpl where in city ride it gives 58.2kmpl. The fuel tank can hold up to 12l and the bike could go up to 750 kms in it.

There are 2 variants available which are primarily classified by brakes where one has Disc and another Drum. The one fitted with Disc brakes costs Rs. 2000 more that the other. It falls in the segment shared by Hero Glamour, CB Shine from Honda and Bajaj Discover. Well, it is always better when you have so many choices.

If you wanted a motorcycle that gives good mileage, has a refined engine with good performance and agility that looks great too than go for this bike.
