Around the world, a good majority of us experience seasons, and in return, these seasons limit the use of our beloved two-wheel toys. But, like a boat, there are economically wise times to buy a new bike. So, when is the best time to buy a new motorcycle?

    Best Time Buy New Motorcycle

This truly depends on who you are, where you are, and how thick your wallet is. When you have the right amount of money, it’s always a good time to buy.

In this article, were going to go through the best times to buy a new bike, specifically on location and prices.

What Time of Year Are Used Motorcycles Cheapest?

Used motorcycles and new ones have pretty similar selling patterns, but let’s identify each separately to understand it the best –

    Used Motorcycles

If you’re lucky, you live where you can ride your motorcycle year-round. But on the other hand, living in a place with four seasons opens the most significant opportunity for motorcycle deals. Overall the fall is the prime sell time in either location.

When the snow shows up, the next four months will be frigid, and you could use the money more than a bike sitting in the garage or storage. This is why people are willing to lower the price of their motorcycles. I need help understanding this, though. If the owner is a motorcycle veteran or just conscious of what he owns, you’ll still be paying top dollar.

On the west coast, most of the country is still rideable during the fall-winter months, but the nights get cold, the riding slows down, and the sales will still go up.

The advantage of buying a used bike is you’re buying it at cost or worth, vs. the “showroom price.” Once you roll the bike off the dealership lot, you can expect the price to drop 10-20%. Be sure to account for depreciation.

When do New Motorcycles go on Sale?

When buying a brand-new motorcycle, finding the best deal will genuinely save your wallet a beating. It’s hard to pinpoint an exact month for you. But we can locate the best times of year for deals. Every year, a few times throughout the year, there are flash sales, seasonal sales, and holiday sales. Almost all industries follow the same time frame for these sales.

Which day is best to buy a motorcycle?

Holiday sales are usually the biggest, along with black Friday. But, if there was ever a time to watch the market fluctuate, it is Black Friday, after Thanksgiving. This holiday was created to have the lowest prices of the year.

In the general time of the year, the best days would be between Monday and Thursday. The reason is on weekends, and people are off and more susceptible to taking time out of their day for toy shopping, whereas during the week, the dealers have no hook to bring customers in. Therefore, this will be the time for the most sales in trade.

When the season nears, go to your local dealership and ask what they have for the upcoming sales. But, of course, the worst thing you can do is ask more questions or research.

What month is the best month to buy a motorcycle?

The best month to buy a bike is in the winter when the Sale made is the lowest. This will get the dealer at their most vulnerable points. The best months to buy are November, December, and January.

When do New Motorcycles get released?

All motorcycle companies do their release dates strategically. Harley-Davidson is releasing its 2023 motorcycles at a festival on its 120th anniversary. In other years they have done it from the beginning to the end of the year. You’ll need to research and watch for release dates for specific models.

Tips For Buying a New Motorcycle

Going out and buying a new motorcycle is a big deal. You’re getting a piece of machinery that has only been driven for test rides. You’re writing the story for the history of the motorcycle. When making a big purchase like this, it’s best to go in with the best tips and buying advice possible.
    • Be patient and never rush. The worst thing you can do is get too excited and rush into a purchase. A desperate man is an impatient one. When the dealer sees how excited and rushed you are, dollar signs will line up in his eyes. Take your time, and walk away once or twice.
    • Do your research. Locate a few bikes with everything you want, speakers, comfortable seats, enough legroom, etc. Only purchase a bike after doing proper research first.
    • Consider the amount of money you will be spending. Nothing is worse than getting rid of a toy or having one taken away. If you can’t afford a down payment on a brand-new bike, go back, save, then revisit. Please don’t take out a bigger loan without the proper capability of paying it off.
    • Negotiate and always offer lower than buying price. Every dealership has room to lower prices, especially when selling a few bikes. Haggle and never give the first offer.
    • Consider run-out models. A run-out model is a motorcycle that’s going o be replaced. For example, the Harley-Davidson Sportster gets a new model released yearly. When the new model gets released, they’ll want the last year’s model off the floor.

    Final Thoughts

If you’ve made it this far into the article, you’re thinking about buying a motorcycle. Remember the tips for buying a new bike; you can’t go wrong. Be diligent, do your research, and don’t be afraid to walk away. Realize brand new motorcycles depreciate value as soon as you leave the floor room, and a used bike could be better for you and your wallet.
