    2024 Honda NC750X DCT Review

    What’s New for 2024?

The Honda NC750X has dropped the clutch lever this year. And the gear changes now come through a smooth 6-speed Automatic DCT. This aspect enables a more relaxed and enjoyable ride. Be it when you are cruising down the highway or navigating through the tight streets of a city.

Measuring 745cc, the power to this adventure motorbike comes from a SOHC 8-valve parallel-twin engine. It puts 58 hp and 51 lb-ft of torque into the rear tire. And the bike has no issues while getting up and going despite delivering an abject 67 mpg.

This motorcycle features four selectable power-delivery modes. They are Sport, Standard, Rain, and an additional customizable setting. The HSTC (Honda Selectable Torque Control) is yet another addition. And all work well alongside a plush seat, ABS brakes, and a considerable utility compartment that is vast enough to hold your helmet.

The motorcycle comes with Honda’s unique Automatic Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), which has been continuously refined over the years. It allows for smooth and seamless gear changes, with the ability to pre-select the target gear for quick and efficient shifting. The rider can choose between manual mode, using paddle-style triggers for gear changes, or automatic mode, which includes four different shifting schedules that cater to various riding styles and conditions.

    Design and Appearance

The NC750X DCT is styled in a way to inspire adventure seekers. However, it accommodates commuters as well. A sturdy fuel tank further emphasizes this motorbike’s small upper and lower fairings. The headlight and running lights buoy the bike’s appearance from the front. While the taillight along with turn indicators equally complement the total presentation.

The windscreen of the NC750X offers ample protection for long rides and shorter commutes as well. The side covers and the slim side panels, along with the slender seat, justly contribute to the lightweight styling.

The front storage compartment of the motorbike is positioned where the fuel tank would have usually been. And the outer fragment of the lid features rails for mounting a tank bag. The LCD dash upholds pertinent information and management of riding modes. At the same time, the turn signals use front and rear wheel-speed changes to determine auto-cancel.

    Technology and Features

Driven by a 745cc SOHC parallel-twin-cylinder motor, the NC750X performs forcefully in the low to midrange section. The long-stroke engineering and a specifically formed combustion chamber produce large amounts of effortless torque at low rpm. It is effectively transferred into power through the high-inertial-mass crankshaft. And the forward canting angle lowers the center of gravity for maximum stability during motion. It features valve timing that varies between the two cylinders, throttle by wire (TBW). It has a refined exhaust system that produces ample power and a strong torque curve past 5,000 rpm, with a redline at 7,000 rpm. The engine design focuses on smooth standing starts and roll-on acceleration. The higher gears are optimized for comfortable highway riding and fuel efficiency.

Valve timing differs between the two cylinders of the engine. And TBW (Throttle-by-Wire) and a refined exhaust system produce abundant power and a strong torque past 5,000 rpm. The first 3 gears of the NC750X have low ratios for smooth standing starts and roll-on acceleration. But the top three gears maximize fuel efficiency and enable you to experience a comfortable ride along the highway.

The model is fitted with Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) with adjustable levels of intervention. It helps with different riding conditions like gravel, dirt, or slippery roads. Throttle-by-wire technology supports four selectable engine power-delivery modes: Standard, Rain, Sport, and a customizable setting. The motorcycle also features a full digital LCD instrument panel that provides primary riding information.

    Performance and Handling

The electronic fuel injection on the NC750X means easy start-ups on cold mornings and flawless running even at high altitudes. You will love the reliability and safety features of this motorbike alongside durable styling and total comfort. In short, this two-wheeler is perfect for a weekday commute and weekend fun.

The NC750X rides smart wherever you are heading. Thanks to the sharp and compact bodywork, which makes it possible. And the lower seat height and the protective low-profile windscreen ensure this aspect all along the way.

    Chassis and Suspension

A tubular-steel diamond frame with a careful balance of weight distribution contributes to the bike’s agility and handling. The NC750X DCT features an upright and neutral riding position with a low center of gravity/ It also has generous steering lock for excellent low-speed handling. The front suspension uses Showa’s Dual Bending Valve design. On the other hand the rear features a Pro-Link® arrangement with a spring-preload adjuster system, optimizing the balance between comfort and control.

    Riding Experience

Your ride on the Honda NC750X is fast and consistent, alongside seamless gear changes. And the twin clutches ensure that shifting from one gear to another is carried on with minimal interruption.

Travel on two wheels has evolved over the years. And finally, you have the 2024 Honda NC750X to make the most of your riding experience.
