The overall weight is reduced by 8 pounds from its previous version(417 lb wet weight). The peak power is also upped to 117 bhp at 10,000 rpm with maximum torque at 67lb-ft at 7000rpm. With 3.7 gallons of fuel capacity, it can be taken for long-range riding. The ABS and traction control make the ride safe, and the compact design makes it easy to handle. The Yamaha MT 09 is powered by an 890cc liquid-cooled, four valves per cylinder, DOHC, inline 3-cylinder engine.
