Baleno out YY4(code name) IN

YY4 is the name of all new future car from Maruti Udyog whose entry is ensured to show a safe exit for Maruti’s upper end mid sized car Baleno. YY4(code name) is going to be in the same premium segment which is poised to be seen on Indian roads by next year April.

Currently Maruti plant is closed for annual maintenance shutdown and it is for sure that when the plant opens in January next year the production of Baleno is not expected to start.

Chevrolet Optra and Toyota Corolla will be the direct competitors for Maruti’s future YY4(code name) which is supposed to be the costliest Maruti made car in India. Both Maruti and Suzuki engineers are behind the design of YY4(code name).

Baleno does not have a very bright past and it is unlikely that Maruti would go for its badge. There is no news for the brand name for this new vehicle and could only be known after some official announcement.

Baleno entered the market with a price tag of Rs. 8 lakhs which was later reduced to Rs 5.6 lakh in order to boost its sales. Baleno will be the 3rd car being shelved by Maruti after Original Zen and Alto VXi.
