    2014 Hero Motocorp Karizma ZMR

Hero group recently launched updates for its high end 233 cc Karizma ZMR. Karizma is now a decade and half old and desperately needed an update. How this new look will be taken by the enthusiasts is yet to be seen but it was much awaited and no one could deny that.

So, what is so new in it? Well, in short, you get extra power, performance upgrade and increased torque.

The design and look of the new ZMR is compact, neat and uncluttered. Still it might not be able to match in terms of design in its segment but this might not be deterring point for its buyers.

The new ZMR engine is tuned due to which the compression has increased to 9.6:1 from 9.1. Due to the increase in compression one could expect improvement in performance and economy. 2014 Karizma is fitted with 233cc engine that gives out power of 20.23PS at 8000rpm with torque of 19.7NM at 6500rpm. Due to this enhancement the driving quality has improved and gear changes to ride at any speed have reduced. The speed of the ZMR could not be matched with old Karizma as it is much faster and responsive. Even at top speeds and top gears at 7000 rpm, the bike is ultra smooth. The new bike is surely the best tourer Indian brand.

Karizma was never famous for its economy and so is the new model too. However due to the increase in compression, the overall fuel economy of the bike would be around 42 to 45 kmpl. The city as well as highway mileage would be around 40 and 52 respectively.

The wheelbase for the new bike is longer than the previous version. Due to the wider tyres there is no problem in stability even when you are cornering.

Price: Rs. 1.14 lakh on road Mumbai
