This model has features that enhance its comfort, performance, and reliability. So that riders can now tackle any terrain with ease and confidence.

    In 2024 models, KLX300 got completely new styling for shrouds, side covers, and fenders. It also has a new led headlight and a bright new taillight.

    The KLX300 is powered by a 292cc fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine with an electric start. It delivers maximum power of 30 HP and 21 lb-ft of peak torque. The machine features fuel injection for optimum combustion efficiency. With a smooth throttle response, the motorcycle is ready to tackle almost anything. The transmission provides a wide range of gearing options.

    Design And Appearance

    The ergonomics of the KLX300 are designed with rider comfort in mind. It boasts of a roomy cockpit foot pegs close to the center. And this allows riders to tailor the motorbike to a preferred riding position. The idea is to ensure optimal control and comfort for the man in the saddle. The electric start system is also designed to provide a hassle-free beginning.

    The digital multi-function display of the KLX300 R offers all helpful information. And which includes an odometer, a speedometer, dual trip meters, and a clock. This is typical of the Kawasaki motorcycle brand. Much thought is always given to combining technology with a user-friendly design. The tubular steel perimeter frame of the KLX300 provides a stable platform for travel.

    Technology And Features

    A liquid-cooled DOHC 4-stroke 292cc engine powers the KLX300 R. This makes 23.4 hp and 15.4 pound-feet of torque. The suspension is well-handled by a KYB 43mm inverted fork and shock. The compression damping in the division is adjustable with 10 inches of travel. At the same time, the shock features compression damping, spring preload, and rebound damping adjustment. Considering the segment, they fit in, and the KYB components are outstanding.

    The body of the KLX300 consists of a high-tensile steel perimeter frame and a short 56.7-inch wheelbase. They effectively contribute to quick handling. The brakes of this bike consist of a dual-piston front caliper and 250mm front disc. And out back, a single-piston caliper is selectively paired with a 240mm disc.

    Performance And Handling

    Eventually, the KLX300 allows you to ride in comfort. The ergonomics of this dual-sport bike closely align with off-road capabilities and an erect yet relaxed riding position. The footpegs are excellently positioned. They are closer to the centerline for optimal riding during off-road excursions. A thick padded seat that provides comfort complements adventure capabilities on longer rides.

    Thanks to a slim and lightweight perimeter frame, the KLX300 exhibits agile maneuverability on all types of terrain. The caster angle and short wheelbase effectively contribute to quick handling. The long-travel suspension offers 10.0 inches of travel up front. And 9.1 inches in the rear. Substantial braking power comes from a twin-piston caliper and a petal disc. And the single-piston caliper and a petal disc at the rear end do the rest.

    Riding Experience

    The KLX300 is essentially the same except for the color updates. But the 300R model is equipped with a US Forest Service-approved spark arrestor considering the choppy journey. It makes sense as the suspension will have to bear the brunt of the long travel.
